These are just a few free directories you can put your link in, I have a list but I don't share it online because I sell it but try also bookmarking sites like digg, stumble etc

Forget exchanging links and having a page full of links (unrelated to your own site) and don't buy links. I search for hours and get it all for free!

Don't do it.
Link EXCHANGES rate you negatively in SE's
The only thing that counts are links from OTHERS to you website.
