If I was to put in $1000 into a forex trading company, what is the realistic result I would get from that in one month period?

The Forex market is an excellent way to make money. What people do not realize is that there are three types of investors: Short-term, mid-term, and long-term. I myself am a short term investor, since that is the fastest way to get paid, making money on the little movements on the market. The only thing though is that you must watch the market like a hawk. It is a job, just like any other job, but it is a cool job. In order to really make money in the forex market, and enjoy life at the same time is to buy a laptop computer, go to Starbucks, or some coffee shop that has pretty girls walking by, (for motivation) and WORK!!!!! Watch every little movement on every pair.

If you want to invest short term, have a small goal. I trade on www.forex.com where you can trade on 200:1 margin. Now, you said you have $1000 to invest, that means you can trade 200,000 USD. What you do is you buy 5 lots and try to earn 10 pips on it. Do this every day for 5 weeks and you now have $2000. In five weeks your investment will compound.

I have a demo account with them. But I am afraid to deposit real money until I find out about their legitimacy. Have anyone in Asia successfully withdrawn money from them? I am planning to start trade with $5000 which I earned through stock market trading in my country. So I hope I will get some genuine answers here?

I think I can answer your question well since I am from Sri Lanka and I have actually withdrawn money from eToro. It was a wonderful experience. To this date I never had to deposit more than my initial deposit. Because of their chat system and great trend tools I have managed to roll my profits again and again.

I deposited money through credit card and I withdraw money to my credit card. If you have the paypal receiving ability the process will be much smoother. Since I do not have a full functioning paypal account (My country is not supported) I have to get my winnings through credit card.

I love it when I see funds available in my VISA when I go to withdraw it from the nearest ATM machine. eToro has never let me down. I like them very much so I wrote 2 posts about them in my blog.

Since you are planning to deposit $5000 I advise you to do a bank transfer. If you do that you are eligible to withdraw through a cheque.

Do not worry about their legitimacy. I have introduced more than dozen clients to eToro and they all are really happy with them. No one has faced any troubles so far with the withdrawals.

If I were you I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to start trading for real.

It looks a little fishy to me. There are a lot of scams out there that say "forex trading."

There are no mentions about account protection, privacy rules, regulation, etc.

I would look at a more established firm if you want to trade forex, such as fxcm or Oanda. Also, with Oanda, you can trade through your browser (no downloads required).

Xelam has given a good answer. You can always go online and check out forex articles.

The risk is making wrong entry and exit points resulting in loss. As such, if you start forex like a lot of new comers to forex, without managing your risk, you can get burnt.

I believe managing the risk is most important. Don't take risks that you can't afford to take.

However, nowadays for new comers there are many new software systems that make it easy for those with no experience to trade and manage their trading.

Do you mean broker when you say investing company? So far, I've only used Easy Forex.
