Just wondering why the crisis in the US is getting worse and the value of the dollar on foreign exchange is going up. Something stinks in the state of Denmark.

I do understand that demand and supply determine it. Just wondering demand and supplly from who! And who sets the final ratio.

As the value of things in America go down, foreign countries look to buy up American exports

this drives demand for dollars, which in turn increases the value of the dollar

I will be traveling outside of the US and was not sure if banks here will offer foreign currency in exchange for dollars, otherwise where can I get it?

foreign exchange or a bank. You are guaranteed to be able to change American($)dollars or Sterling(£)pounds in any country in the world

I have been asked to find out The Post Office and Thomson (travel agent)'s current foreign currency exchange rate.

I am on work placement working with First Choice Holidays and they have asked me to research this but its very tedious as they said I would have to ring them for some reason but do you know what PO and Thomson's exchange rate is?
For Euro and US Dollar.

I have some foreign coins like Canadian $1 and $2 coins. Anyone know if any currency exchange booths at LAX will exchange coins?

Yes but I believe they may only be located within the international terminal, in which case you would need to be a ticketed passenger. I suggest you try your bank. If they won't do it simply google currency exchange for your area then call around to make sure they accept coins.

My flight will arrive past 12 midnight via budget carrier. I need to change US$ into SG$. Does Changi Airport have a foreign currency exchange counter or bank? Do they operate 24 hours a day or at least operate up to 1am?
Yes, I understand it's not good rates. I just want to change enough to pay for the fare from the airport to the hotel.
How about the budget terminal? My flight is Tiger Airways which uses the budget terminal.

Yes there are 24/7 forex counters in all the Changi airport terminals including the Budget terminal.

RHB Bank is the forex counter operator in Budget Terminal
American Express (+65 6880 1111) and UOB Bank is the forex counter operators in Changi
