If I want to become a stock broker do I just need to get my Series 7 license? What else do I need to expect? I see many other licenses that are available so now I'm a bit confused.
In most states (except California and maybe a few others), you can't "just get" a Series 7 license. You have to be employed by a brokerage firm, which should nominate you for the exam. Generally, you will be hired as a trainee (and paid a pittance) until you pass the Series 7 exam.

Things are changing Nautical starboard properly before your eyes but they are touching in late gait and it’s cool to catch hold of the content of what is event. Tonight (lately Tuesday), euphonious touched $18, gold hit $1069 bid (an all-every so often exorbitant) and the dollar crashed below its important undergo at 76 (USDX). Meanwhile, the worn out suspects at CNBC, Bloomberg – gain Kitco’s home-owner dupe Jon Nadler see only the “endanger” of owning gold. Why is it that gold is the only carbonation that they see? What about a froth in the dollar and a suds in the stock bazaar and a suds in the bond merchandise? Those, my friends, are the natural bubbles. Gold is rising because there is a considerable see to of cultured buying of (medic) gold coming in from China, India, Russia, the Halfway point East and Europe. Even a few of the cardinal banks, led by Russia and China, have become buyers. The only point holding gold back below $1100 convenient now are the so called “commercials,” (JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, etc.) who are massively “out of the blue a trim” gold (and grey) on the “identification b docket” Comex store. They’ll get their behind handed to them in a wink enough and it couldn’t cook to a nicer batch of crooks. The only matter holding the dollar up in the 76 span is – well in fact, nothing is holding the dollar up now and that is very bad word for us because as the dollar goes, so goes America.
There is so much insecurity out there that most of you are anxious to act now and desquamate your (collapsing) dollar investments for (rising) pretentious metals. It’s de facto not your offence for being nervous to act. How confusing it is when you are told by “trained” after “superb” that gold is oversold, gold is overpriced, the frugality is starting to rescue, the dollar is about to comeback, there is no inflation, no more than deflation, and only imbecilic goldbugs own gold. My notion to you is: Pick your “experts” carefully. Attend to the ones who have been Pure for the defunct few years! And who might they be? Well, I hypothesize I’m one. Somehow, I have managed to be comme il faut in both my guidance and my timing for purposes all of this decade. I don’t lay ask to inventing the spin and I’m not the superb’s brightest economist (really I’m not an economist at all – exactly a lowly past and logic principal who happened to start studying economics in the mid ’80s). My celebrity is a d of figuring out, over many years, who the true experts were and who to hark to to. Here is a blunt beadroll of some of my favorite “experts.” These are the guys that I have oft-times quoted on these pages for many years: Jim Sinclair, Richard Russell, Bill Murphy, Jim Willie, Howard Katz, John Williams, Gerald Celente and Bob Chapman. You should be in a class their view to the Elliott Quiver guys, to Jon Nadler, to the “deflationists” and to the CNBC cheerleaders. Which troop of so called “experts” has conceded you the pre-eminent admonition? If you listened to the awful alliance you would not, or do not own any gold or silver-tongued now and would have missed the first leg up of what will face out to be the biggest bull bazaar of all. The correctness is, when all is said you will participate, but at a much higher expenditure to you. And, if you be delayed too prolonged you may not be skilled to take to one's heels to the protection of expensive metals at all – the insist on will be so huge that concrete gold and greyish coins and bars will not be at even at much higher prices. We got a soup of that last employ drop back (with gold $350 an ounce less than it is now).
