Overbought/oversold indicators and the myriad of others out there are not specific to any market. What you need is the data feed - so who supplies the data feed in the market you operate and then any analytical system will work. Just make sure the data feed is in the format that the system uses.
Bear in mind futures and options are win-lose positions. Leverage works both ways and in volatile markets you can be whip lashed out of a position very quickly. In fact big traders run contracts up and down to do just that - whack you out of your position. USE STOP LOSSES!!! Remember futures are unlimited risk, options (call ones in any event) limit your loss to the premium. Note that in volatile market the premium is higher. If you want anymore information I have been doing it for 20 years and can help.

How far into the future does stock price reflects?
FutureCity

So the price of the stock reflects (or tries to reflect) the performance of a company in ther future, but how far into the future are we talking about? Next month? Next quarter? Next year?

Lets say a company's stock trending down for many months and it bounce back recently. Is the company expected to turn things around in a month, a quarter, or a year?

Forever.

It's a simple calculation of cash flow for infinitly in the future. One assume a corporation will be here for forever. Yes, that is an assumption, but necessary for the calculation. In simple terms, the following is the formula for evaluation price.

stock price = cash flow / risk

One then ask, isn't there a speculation factor? Well, yes and no. Speculation means evaulation of risk. If something is risky, it changes the bottom, thus a lower price.

Now, how come there are different people with different price expectations? If it's a formula, wouldn't it spit out the same price for everyone? No. It depends on how they assign risk to that particular stock. You may think that a dot com is risky but someone else believe it's a sure thing. What assumptions do they make on the cash flow. Are they expecting this cash flow to grow? How fast will it grow, etc. Again using the dot com example, you may think it won't grow very fast if at all. Another person may think it'll be explosive.

Now, bubbles and crashes are people making wrong assumptions. Or something happened so the assumptions no longer hold, such as war causes slower economy causes slower growth causes lower stock price than previously expected.

At Rs 218 I Bought IDFC Stock Future for Upward trend my broker says but put at 230, How to play both ?
Green Growth Arrow - Bar Graph

He says Always buy "PUT" when you buy " FUTURE" to hedge the position. Can you give me ideas how to play this ?

The combination of a long future and a long put is a "synthetic long call" on the future. That means that instead of buying both the future and the put, you could get the same risk/reward by simply buying a call option with the same strike price and expiration as the put option.

While the risk/reward of a synthetic long call and a long call are the same, the risk/reward for a long future is quite different.

The long future will show a profit if the price of the future goes up any amount. The (synthetic) long call requires a large move in the price of the future to show a profit.

The maximum amount you can lose from a (synthetic) long call is much less than the maximum amount you can lose with an unhedged long future position.

If you do not understand this I strongly recommend you learn more about trading derivatives before risking real money trading them. There are risks that are not always obvious.

Two economists see red flags again for stock market

In the years leading up to the recent financial crisis, no matter how many times Rosenberg, then at Merrill Lynch , raised red flags about the bubble-licious housing market, or gave clients a heads-up about what he insisted was a financial disaster in the making, no one seemed to listen.

"Back in 2005 and 2006, if I looked clients in the face and told them housing was a bubble, it was like telling them their kid was ugly," recalls Rosenberg, now chief economist and strategist at Gluskin Sheff.

Indeed, despite his objective, data-driven and historical approach to market forecasting, Rosenberg's straight talk about what could go wrong was viewed as borderline radical, akin to an investment idea wrapped in a tie-dyed shirt rather than a blue pinstripe suit.

Says Rosenberg, "I recall that people like myself were viewed as borderline lunatics before the financial crisis broke."

It turns out the lunatics were the people who stayed fully invested and lost a bundle of money when financial markets collapsed.
