I want to be a foreign exchange student and i am having trouble deciding on a country. Tell me your opinions and why you think that. thanks!
Dear Texas Gal (I lived in Austin for years),
The Center for Cultural Learning and Development, <www.ynccld.org>, offers programs based in Kunming, Yunnan which are culturally immersive and intended to give you a truly experiential learning experience in China. Yunnan Province is hands down the best place to be in China. We have 15 years of experience working with the School for International Training (SIT) <www.sit.edu >(follow the links to study abroad and then China). But, if you do not need academic credit (although you can arrange to get credit through us via your home university), and you may consider the costs of SIT expensive anyway, we have the same model through our center for students just like yourself (and much cheaper!). Typically, students study Mandarin Chinese and attend many lectures, usually outside the classroom, at sites related to the topics. Excursions to other places in Yunnan and elsewhere in China are provided, but individual immersion by genuine travel independently without guides, etc. are encouraged, as this not only allows (forces) you to learn more about China directly, but empowers you to be able to travel anywhere in the world independently. I truly believe that, regardless of how you choose tocome to China, through the Center for Cultural Learning and Development, on your own, or through someone else (try and match us). Kunming and Yunnan is the place to be. Read about it. And check out the sites above. The Center for Cultural Learning program is based on the SIT model, which I created in the first place At least you might enjoy some of my photos at the www.ynccld.org site, although the photos are a bit difficult to navigate. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Costs will depend on what you want out of your learning experience here. Contact sam.mitchell@yahoo.com or sam.mitchell@ynccld.org. As for your question "why?", the answers are in the photos Best wishes, Sam Mitchell

I want to do a foreign exchange and rotary is the cheapest (I plan on going to the netherlands) what looks good, and will help you get accepted? How diffecult is it to get accepted? How hard is it to get a scholarship?
I'm going into high school also, do they let 14 year olds if they are in high school?
You have to be 15 to go -- it doesn't matter whether you are in high school or not.
Good grades, extra curricular activities and a good record of community service will all contribute to your acceptance. Foreign language helps too.
I would like to to be a foreign exchange student and to either london, australia, or japan. I tried Rotary club but theyre requirments are to know the language fluently.I might just be confused about rotary so please help me undertsand and correct me if im wrong. Is there any other programs? Has any else done it? How much does it cost?
Hi, I have applied to be an exchange student next year through Rotary.
I applied for Germany, Switzerland & Austria. I don't know an ounce of German (the main languages of these countries) though it doesn't matter.
My friend went to Germany in '06 (through Ritary) and he knew a few words though after a year came back speaking fluently. Rotary doesn't expect you to speak the languages fluently. Sometimes when you go to have to attend a language course or you just pick it up as you go. So I reccomend Rotary =]
BTW... come to Australia... it's a Great country =]
I just want to know what is the best platform for me trading foreign exchange?
The most recent and also most promising Forex trading platform is the Fap Turbo Robot. So far it has shown to be capable of doubling your money every single month. Very few, if any of the earlier systems reach a 95% of profitable trades. Once your program is set up it is totally hands-free and is working for you 24 hours 5 days per week. You can still do manual trades if you would like to.
Some of the advantages are:
You can start with as little as $ 50;
Non stop trading, 24 hours 5 days per week;
You can earn money in an up as well as in a down market;
There is no size limit (trade as big or as small as you want).
I am a freshman in high school and I'm hoping to become a foreign exchange student my junior year.
I was just wondering if it was really hard to get accepted into a foreign exchange program, giving how so many people seem to apply every year. I'm just curious. I know I'll have to go to an interview, but what do they evaluate there?
What happens if you don't get in?
I was an exchange student in high school and as long as your grades are good (as in your not failing), don't have a criminal record, and generally are a good person interested in learning then it shouldn't be an issue. If you are looking to do a kind of do a kind of diplomat position then the program might be more selective. It really depends on the program and what its requirements are.
I recommend you look up AFS exchange programs. They have several different ones for year long, half-year, and summer. Also ones that focus on language, out-door activities, and volunteer work. Almost all involve a home stay with a host family. If money is an issue, there are scholarship programs you can apply to.
I also recommend talking with your guidance counselor during your sophomore year, especially if you want to be away for a year. If you attend school in another country, you can receive credit but it may put you behind on your english credits. Talking with the counselor will be beneficial in that area.
Do it! It's a valuable experience!
Texas Tech QB A Game Time Decision: Foreign Exchange Student or Monkey?
The mad professor at Texas Tech is at it again. Heading into their road contest with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Coach Leach is contemplating yet another move at quarterback.
Last week with Taylor Potts sidelined with a concussion, Coach Leach had to pull Steven “Sticks” Sheffield from the reserves. Sheffield would go on to have a huge statistical day connecting on 33 of 41 passes for 490 yards and seven touchdowns in a 66-14 romp over Kansas State.
When asked about the play of Sheffield, Leach’s first response was, “Who?”
When prompted, he followed up with, “You know, I really didn’t know much about the kid until Potts went down. I checked the roster to see who we had handy, and you know, it’s just ‘plug and play’ around here. I don’t really learn their names until they make a Heisman ballot, and even then it’s more about the spelling than the person.”
What Online Foreign Exchange Strategies Are The Best
There are numerous personal strategies of trading in foreign exchange online but two of them position out . Forex Bling implies that they are the breakout trading and scalping. The former is essentially when a merchandiser sees a set valuation tally surpassed and the call extravagant poignant in the tenacious directorship. Then it is attainable to apace mass pips. The scalping works in an analogous way, but it is focused on petty changes through out the day. These strategies are stylish because of their candour and effectiveness.
