I have German money from when my father was in the war over in germany, does any one know if I can turn it in for US money at a bank, and what would be the exchange value?
When you say 'The War", I am assuming you mean World War II. If that is the case, your German money is a very interesting collectible, but has long since been demonetized.
West Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutscheland) banknotes dated 1948 and later can still be redeemed.
Take $100 exchange it into pounds then back into dollars, keep going to see how long it takes for your money to disappear.
I have some Euros and American dollars that i need to exchange because i need money desparately.
I'm also wondering if there is much value difference from place to place and if it is worth searching for the best place or not, or would it not make much difference where I exchange my money?
I don't even know where to get money exchanged to begin with so I don't know how many or how little options I have!
Can anyone help please with any knowledge on this subject?
you get the best exchange rate at the airport. banks and private exchange places charge higher fee.
Do they just tack it on your Internet bill?
Do they send a bill to your house?
More specifically, how does money exchange work on the stock market (online)?
How do selling stuff on ebay and winning prizes over the internet play into all of this?
When buying stuff on the Internet IE eBay)you should use pay pal or google checkout which is a service that will pay the seller by accessing either your credit card or your bank account.. whichever you authorize. Do not pay any other way!
When you make stock trades or purchases on line, they also will provide you with a secure way to make your payment or trade.
Most vendors (eBay, stocks etc) do not bill you.. you must use their form of secure payment to pay.
we are planning a trip to india and would like to know as much about money exchange as possible. thx for any help.
I'm not sure which dollar you're talking about. I did three conversions just to be safe:
USD to INR = 1:40.7514569
CAD to INR = 1:36.9795428
AUD to INR = 1:33.6077265
These are the current exchange rates (as of today, May 18th). The currency for India is Rupees. To get a rough idea of what things cost in India, check out the link in my source.
Hi there , I was going to the money exchange center and there are lots of them there , it states for example " we buy 1.50 " and " we sell 1.60 " , like to know how does this work , is it the lower the better when we but and the higher the better when we sell back to them . Many thks and have a nice day
Stop thinking Buying & Selling money, start thinking Apples (or Oranges) ...
What they are saying is, we will Buy your Apples for 1.50 and we will Sell our Apples to you for 1.60 ...
Now (plainly) you would like them to BUY your Apples at the best (higher) price and SELL their Apples to you at the best (lower) price ?
(For EURO's I think 'Elephants' .. if you ever see two kids running around Heathrow shouting 'Elephants are cheaper here daddy' you will know I'm leaving town :-) )

My bridegroom is leaving to Spain next week from Mexico and we are troublesome to dig out whether it would be richest for him to exchange his pesos for US Dollars and then into Euros. I certain that the bounty of the dollar-peso changes daily so there are times when one can greatly advance from that and style more money either buying or selling. If the peso is low, then exchanging it into dollars will escalating our profits, but if its the undistinguished of 13 pesos to 1 dollar then it might not be good. I'm well-grounded not true what to do, does the euro-dollar exchange pace coppers on a alike resemble heart, or is it comely much steady? therefore what do you proffer would be the A- way to represent the most out of our money. pesos to euros, or pesos-dollars-euros. any ideas?
I advised of its a bit confusing, but I prize any feedback.
Thanks! I have to say, changing to american dollars first seems a bit risible. The Euro/Dollar exchange place changes very time, and it's not decidedly affluent at the twinkling. Besides, it costs money to exchange currencies, and if you do it twice you'll throw equitable that much more. Even-handedly, I've always found the first item to do is not plague exchanging any money and straight wihdrawing from an atm when you get there.
( Acknowledge to this ) ( Theme )
I assent to with that because I too find it easier to equitable withdrawal money from an atm. the only result is that my cover up has about $600 in pesos that he can't part into our account from Mexico, since we don't have any Mexican bank acounts, and I'm in the U.S. and won't see him until the end of the year. He has been working and living there for a year, but he is leaving to Spain with that money in close by to find a job there, and plans to be there for a while. he wants to come in use of that money, rather than parsimonious it aside since we don't strictly have a lot of money and he in all likelihood wont earn to Mexico for a while. so you can seemy dillema. it is pivotal to use...News
