This is a survey for one of my classes @ school:
Is there any software that could be implemented which could make easier and more productive the work of mortgage brokers and loan officers?
Calyx Software (also know as Point)
www.lendinguniverse.com free mortgage broker software Money is one of those things that we take for granted because it is difficult to imagine ...
Another example would be; for "intellectual property, I would like to see related words like "Copyright", "trademark", "patent" etc. Is there a software or a tool or a website that you can recommend?

I am a mortgage broker and want to know if there is any software available out there to search the marketplace of lenders for car finance for my clients?
I plan to start a career as a loan officer and want to do business primarily on the internet, from home, as well as get the training on-line and/or by phone. I'm thinking about joining either Apex Lending or Premier Mortgage. Trancontinental Lending Group is also an option. Anyone have feedback regarding these companies? I'm really leaning towards Apex Lending because I like the business structure, however there is a one-time $200 fee for purchasing software that allows you to run the business on the internet and from home. The software has the 1003 appl, credit score/info viewing, matches programs to client info, manages your accounts, funds, can do business in atleast 20 states, etc. Is having to pay this fee a norm when getting started, if so, are there companies that have a lower start up fee? I have taken a 24-hour mortgage broker course in Florida recently, but haven't taken the licensing exam yet. I will need a mentor for the first few deals and would like to get started soon.
I also work for Aapex mtg that's based in fl. working from home is cool but it's best if you can go into an office and do work there. if you're home you might bs more than if you were in an office, there fore you can get more work done. It's just a suggestion. You should look around first before you make a decision.
I got a portion back of my home purchase closing cost from my mortgage broker firm. Recently I got form 1099-MISC from brokerage firm in which this amount is reported in Box 7(Non employee compensation) as reported to IRS. When using Turbo Tax software, it is asking to fill schedule C reckoning I'm self-employed or own a business. But I don't own a business or self employed...all I got some portion back of my home purchase closing cost. I was under impression that home purchase closing cost add to the basis of home and refund on it don't count as income. But this refund has been reported to IRS already and so I need to pay tax on it ?
Chris Mullins, COO at American Advisors Guild (AAG) told MT that “Most brokers have to cobble together a into view LOS and leverage unique lender systems for the countermand aspects.”
Companies like Opposite Fortunes and RemoLive purloin companies watch over leads but neither cater a way to submit those leads immediately to wholesale lenders. Brokers are false to rekey all of their dope into a wholesale lenders LOS.
In the “leading” occupation, software like Encompass or Calyx Apposite indicate concession for brokers to seamlessly submit their borrowers lend dope to a string of lenders, but we have yet to see anything like it in the set-back mortgage area.
It would be keen to have that stripe of functionality, but the big sound out is, do lenders doing 10-25 HECMs a month inadequacy to dissipate bucks on an LOS geared towards their needs?
Most brokers I spoke with seem to mull over Be pre-eminent does enough to get by and aren’t steadfast they yearn for to waste the wealth on software when it could go to generating leads. What are your thoughts?
